Terms of sale

These terms apply to every order placed on this website by a consumer. They are governed by Greek law, including Law 2251/1994 on consumer protection, as amended to incorporate Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights. Nothing in them removes a right that the law of your country of residence gives you as a consumer.

1. Who sells to you

The seller is the company named in the box above. Until those details are confirmed, this shop is a test build: orders placed here are not fulfilled or shipped, and nothing is sold under these terms.

2. What you can buy

Only objects marked In stock can be ordered. Objects marked Being verified are shown with their origin record for information and cannot be bought. Joining a waitlist does not create a contract or reserve stock.

Photographs and illustrations show the kind of object described. Handmade objects vary in size, colour and pattern within the limits stated on the product page, and that variation is not a defect.

3. Prices, VAT and duties

Prices are in euros. For delivery inside the EU they include VAT. For delivery outside the EU they exclude Greek VAT, and import duties and taxes for your destination are shown and charged at checkout and paid by us to the carrier. Delivery costs are shown before you pay. See Prices and VAT.

If a price is clearly wrong because of an obvious error, we will contact you before dispatch and you may cancel without charge.

4. How the contract is made

  1. You place an order and pay at checkout. Payment methods: [to be confirmed].
  2. We send an email acknowledging the order. That email is not yet acceptance.
  3. The contract is formed when we send the dispatch confirmation. If we cannot supply an item, we tell you and refund any payment for it within 14 days.

The contract is concluded in English. We keep a copy of the order and send you these terms with your confirmation.

5. Delivery

We deliver only to the destinations shown on each product page. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. If we have not delivered within 30 days of the contract, unless we agreed otherwise, you may ask us to deliver within an additional period and, if we do not, cancel and receive a full refund.

Risk passes to you when you, or someone you name other than the carrier, receives the parcel.

6. Your right to withdraw within 14 days

You may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The period ends 14 days after the day you, or someone you name other than the carrier, receive the goods. For an order delivered in several parcels, it runs from receipt of the last one.

To withdraw, send a clear statement to the address on the Contact page before the period ends. You may use this wording: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following goods: [items], ordered on [date], received on [date]. Name, address, date.

Send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after telling us. You pay the direct cost of returning them, unless the goods are faulty or not as described. You are responsible for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

We refund all payments received, including the standard delivery charge, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method. We may withhold the refund until the goods are back with us or you show proof of sending them.

Exceptions

Under Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • sealed food that has been unsealed after delivery and is not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons. This covers our saffron, mastiha, pistachios, currants, honey, olive oil and mountain tea once the seal or tin is opened. Unopened, they can be returned;
  • goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, for example an object made to a size, pattern or wording you chose;
  • goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

These exceptions do not affect your rights when goods are faulty.

7. Legal guarantee

Every object must conform to the contract. Under Directive (EU) 2019/771, as applied in Greece, the seller is responsible for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within two years of delivery. Food is expected to stay within its best-before or use-by date. If something is faulty or not as described, write to us with your order number and photos; you are entitled to repair or replacement, or, where that is not possible, a price reduction or refund.

8. Region boxes

A region box is sold as a set of separate items, each with its own price and VAT line. You may withdraw from the whole box or from single items within it. If you return a single item, we refund its line price as shown on the invoice.

9. Complaints and disputes

Please write to us first. If we cannot resolve a complaint, consumers resident in Greece may contact the Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή), an independent authority that mediates consumer disputes. Consumers elsewhere in the EU may contact the European Consumer Centre in their country. You may also go to court: under EU law, as a consumer you can bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one sent with your order confirmation.

Version 0.1, prepared September 2026, awaiting legal review before launch.
