No alcohol is sold anywhere at launch. DDP means we pay destination duties and import taxes, so the courier asks you for nothing on delivery.

The price in your cart is always the price you pay.

Duties paid, and what that means

Outside the European Union we plan to ship Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). Import duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid by us to the carrier, so nothing is collected from the person who receives the parcel.

  • United States. Since 29 August 2025 the duty-free allowance for low-value parcels has been suspended, so every parcel pays duty, and most EU goods face a 15% tariff. That cost is built into the duties shown at checkout.
  • United States, food. Every food order a business sends to the US needs an FDA Prior Notice filed before it ships. We file it. This is why food orders to the US may take an extra working day to leave.
  • United Kingdom. For consignments of GBP 135 or less, the seller must be registered for UK VAT and collect it at checkout. We are not registered yet, so the United Kingdom is not open at launch. It opens after our UK VAT registration, and until then the country picker says so.
  • Australia. Some foods, plant material, wood, horn and marine products must be declared and may be inspected on arrival. We check each product against the Australian import conditions database (BICON) before we enable it.

Restrictions by object, and why

The ships-to list on each product page is the final word. This table explains the reasoning.

Delivery restrictions per object at launch

What we do not ship at all

At launch we ship to Greece, the European Union, the United States, Canada and Australia. Nowhere else yet, and that means Switzerland and Norway too. The United Kingdom opens after our UK VAT registration.

No alcohol is sold at launch, anywhere. Selling spirits such as tsipouro or Masticha of Chios liqueur to consumers in other EU countries means paying excise duty in the buyer’s country, often through a local tax representative, and couriers restrict it. We would rather not sell it than sell it badly.

Mixed boxes

A region box can only ship where every object in it can ship. If one component cannot go to your country, the whole box shows as unavailable there, and the product page names the component and the reason.
